Year 12 Home EconomicsDuring year 12 you will complete a second and much larger piece of controlled assessment. Unit 2: Diet and Health is completed during the first term and will involve both theory and practical elements.
This year pupils were given the following task: Adolescents have been criticised for their fast food diet and its implications for their health. (a) Plan a range of healthy dishes that would appeal to adolescents. (b) Prepare and make the range of dishes chosen. (2.5 hour assessed practical to produce three dishes with accompaniments and a drink) (c) Evaluate all aspects of the task. This section is worth 40% of your overall GCSE mark. |
