Controlled Assessment TaskUnit 5: Controlled Assessment - Consumer Awareness Task
This task makes up 20% of your final GCSE mark. Pupils this year were set the following task: Task Option 2 Examine the impact of ethical and environmental issues on food choices. (a) Identify the issues related to the title. (b) Research the issue using secondary sources. (c) Plan and carry out a primary investigation related to the title. (d) Draw conclusions and evaluate all aspects of the task. Pupils chose to research topics including: Fairtrade, food miles, organic foods, recycling, free-range eggs, animal welfare, dolphin-friendly tuna and GM foods.
